By accessing or using the website runlikealocaltravel.com (the "Site") or purchasing any services offered by Vias del Valle LLC, doing business as Run Like a Local ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy, incorporated herein by reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Site or our services.

Run Like a Local provides curated destination race travel experiences, including but not limited to race coordination support, hotel and accommodation arrangements, local itinerary planning, and group travel logistics (collectively, "Services").

All Services are subject to availability and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without prior notice.

Run Like a Local acts as a travel organizer and coordinator. Race entries, accommodations, and other components of each trip may be fulfilled through third-party vendors. We do not hold a California Seller of Travel license and do not act as a licensed travel agent unless separately disclosed in writing.

To reserve a place on any Run Like a Local trip (an "Edit"), a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The deposit amount is specified on the relevant Edit page at the time of purchase.

The remaining balance is due no later than 90 days prior to the departure date, unless otherwise specified in your booking confirmation. Failure to submit the remaining balance by the due date may result in forfeiture of your booking without refund of any amounts paid.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, Inc. By submitting payment, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service, available at stripe.com/legal. Run Like a Local does not store your full credit card number or payment credentials.

All prices are listed in United States Dollars (USD) and are subject to change until a booking is confirmed with a paid deposit.

All deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.

Cancellation 90 or more days before departure: The deposit is forfeited. Any additional amounts paid beyond the deposit will be issued as credit toward a future Edit, valid for 24 months from the cancellation date.

Cancellation 60 to 89 days before departure: 50% of the total trip cost is non-refundable. Any remaining balance above that amount will be issued as credit toward a future Edit, valid for 24 months.

Cancellation fewer than 60 days before departure: 100% of the total trip cost is non-refundable. No credit will be issued.

Run Like a Local reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an Edit due to insufficient enrollment, force majeure events, acts of God, government travel restrictions, race cancellations, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, participants will receive a full credit toward a future Edit or a full refund at the sole discretion of Run Like a Local.

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@runlikealocaltravel.com. The cancellation date will be the date the written notice is received.

Run Like a Local strongly recommends that all participants obtain comprehensive travel insurance prior to departure, including coverage for trip cancellation, trip interruption, medical emergencies, emergency evacuation, baggage loss, and personal liability.

We do not provide, arrange, or sell travel insurance. The decision to travel without adequate insurance is made solely at the participant's own risk. Run Like a Local accepts no liability for losses that would have been covered by travel insurance.

Run Like a Local may contract with third-party vendors — including but not limited to hotels, airlines, ground transportation providers, race organizers, restaurants, and tour operators — to deliver components of our Services.

We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, negligence, misconduct, or default of any third-party vendor. Any claim or complaint arising from third-party services must be directed to the respective vendor.

Third-party vendors may impose their own terms and conditions, which participants may be required to agree to as a condition of service.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Vias del Valle LLC and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our Site or Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to these Terms or our Services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific Service giving rise to the claim.

Run Like a Local is not responsible for any injury, illness, loss, theft, damage to personal property, or death that may occur before, during, or after any trip. Participation in destination races and related physical activities involves inherent risks that participants knowingly and voluntarily assume.

Participants are solely responsible for ensuring they hold all valid travel documents required for their destination, including passports, visas, and any required health documentation or vaccinations.

Participants are responsible for their own race entry registration unless explicitly stated as included in the Service description at the time of booking.

Participants agree to conduct themselves in a respectful and lawful manner throughout any Run Like a Local trip and in accordance with the laws and customs of the destination country.

Run Like a Local reserves the right to remove any participant from a trip at any time due to disruptive, unsafe, or unlawful behavior without refund of any amounts paid.

By booking a trip, you confirm that you are in sufficient physical condition to participate in the planned activities, including any race events associated with the trip.

Run Like a Local strongly recommends consulting a physician before participating in any strenuous physical activity. We accept no liability for health-related incidents arising from race participation or related activities.

All content on this Site — including text, photographs, graphics, logos, brand elements, and design — is the property of Vias del Valle LLC and is protected by applicable United States and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publicly display, or otherwise use any content from this Site without prior written permission from Run Like a Local.

Your use of our Site and Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy at runlikealocaltravel.com/privacy-policy.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in San Diego County, California.

In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiation for a period of no less than 30 days before pursuing any legal remedy.

If good-faith negotiation is unsuccessful, the parties agree to submit the dispute to binding arbitration in San Diego County, California, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), before resorting to litigation.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Vias del Valle LLC with respect to your use of the Site and Services, and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, representations, and understandings.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. Changes will be effective upon posting to the Site with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Site or Services following any modification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
